Families can be together forever!

This week has been full of so many great things! Mostly, we have been tearing our area book apart trying to find new people to teach, so we weren't able to teach a ton of lessons. We have met some great people
though, that we will hopefully get to start working with this week!

Although we didn't teach a ton, it has been a really spiritual couple of days for me because of things that happened. My first week of being in this ward, Dryden and I went and visited a member after district meeting. He is over 90 years old and doesn't come to church because he is busy taking care of his wife who had been in a coma for months now. Each time we went to his house, we would go into his room, sit on his bed, and then we would all sing hymns to his wife. He loves her so much and he made sure to let us know each time we went over there. As time went by, her health slowly got worse. On Tuesday, we got the news that she had passed away.
We went over to his house the next day to see how he was doing and how we could help him. Right when we got to his house, he invited us in. We cried a bit as we sat in the room where his wife used to be. As I listened to him talk about the woman he absolutely adored, I was filled with such peace. He was sad that his wife had passed away, but because he would miss her, not because he thought it was the end. The knowledge of the gospel, the plan of salvation, makes all of the difference in the world. He knew in that moment that it wasn't the end and that he will have the opportunity to see his wife again.
While sitting with this Hermano, I felt the same peace that I did when my grandpa passed away. This life isn't the end! We can see our loved ones again! I am so grateful for temples and I know that in them we can be sealed to our families!

I love this gospel and I am so grateful to share it with others!

Love,
Hermana Rupp
