P-day, again.

Wow, I can't believe that it is p-day again! Mission time is so confusing and so fast!

Our week was really busy. We had a lot of mission meetings that filled a lot of our time. When were weren't doing that, we were with investigators, members, or knocking on doors. We were so blessed this week, and found 4 new people to start teaching! Miracles are happening out here every single day!

Our ward has an English class program that we the missionaries teach (I don't know how great of an idea it is to have me teaching it because I can barely speak proper English myself and I have a really gnarly Utah accent to add onto that). When I first got the the area, we would have one person show up if it was a good week, but soon nobody at all came! Medeiros and I decided to paint the town with posters, inviting people to come! As a result, we had someone show up again! It was great. Even if I am not the greatest teacher of English, I love doing it because I love watching people grow and succeed. It is a happy experience!

On Tuesday, it was little Chino's 6th birthday! I love him and I love his family SO MUCH. We went and celebrated his birthday with him on Tuesday and on Sunday. My favorite thing in the entire world is the tradition that Hispanics have on birthdays. The person who is celebrating their birthday gets to take a bite of the cake before anybody else. Everyone starts yelling and chanting together and then while the person goes in for a bite, they get there face pushed into it. It adds so much excitement into birthday celebrations!

I love Oakcrest and I love the people here more than words can describe. I am SO blessed to be here and I can't wait to see what this week brings!

Much love,
