Habeneros.

It has been such a great week with my new companion Hermana Medeiros from Spanish Fork, Utah! She has been out for one transfer less than me and is a great missionary! I am really excited to work with her! Changes within the mission are so inspired. Just within this past week, I have noticed such a difference in our area and the people we are working with. It will be a good couple of weeks!

Not only did I get a new companion, but basically our entire district was changed as well. We wanted to bond as a new district (well the 2 sets of elders and us), so we spent all of our p-day together. We did some longboarding, played basketball, and then had a habenero pepper eating contest. Since we eat spicy food all of the time, I thought that we would be able to handle it. Boy was I wrong!
Three of us didn't last very long after one (myself included), and one elder threw up after two because it hurt so bad. In the end, Medeiros downed three like a champ! It was so painful, and so funny!

This is going to be a transfer full of miracles! I feel so blessed and I am so grateful to be serving in Oakcrest!

Love,
